Receptionist/Office Assistant- Job Summary
Under the direction and supervision of the Office Manager or designee, incumbent assists with basic office functions to include, but not limited to; typing , filing, answering phones, taking messages, mail sorting, taking meeting minutes, ordering supplies, running errands, staff scheduling and greeting visitors
Education/Training/Work Experience Requirements
High school diploma or GED required.
Must be able to speak, read and understand the English language in both the written and verbal form.
At least 2 years of secretarial experience required. Previous secretarial experience in a health care environment a plus.
Physical Demands and Typical Working Conditions
Work is performed indoors in a health care facility. Noise level is usually mild to moderate, but may be loud at times. Work is typically during the day shift, but hours may occasionally vary based on departmental needs.
Incumbents may be exposed to distraught individuals. Work may be stressful when dealing with the multiple demands of the position.
Must be able to safely lift and/or carry up to 25 pounds.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
