To drive continuous improvement of both the fermentation and downstream process units. This position monitors the operations with mass and energy balances, statistical process control, data historians, and other tools, continuously analyzing process performance. Initiates and drives process development, coordinating with specialists both on-site and at other Evonik sites. Provides leadership, guidance and technical expertise to support the development of fellow engineering team members. Identifies process bottlenecks and assists in removing them, to include execution of small capital projects. This position primarily supports the Process Development Team Leader on all aspects of the lysine production. Additional support is provided to the Engineering Team Leader on both a project and work demand basis.
Adding value to the process through statistical process control and data historian tools.
Responsible for supporting or executing capital projects with special focus on efficiency optimization and de-bottlenecking.
Facilitate and coordinate root cause analyses (both formal and informal) that correct problems and improve plant performance in any area.
Responsible for the coordination and direction of process optimization projects. Conduct process optimization analyses to include improvement of production process, equipment and product quality. Improve plant operations, reduce/eliminate downtime and reduce production costs.
Manage the process development activity on-site and coordinate efforts, when appropriate, with other colleagues.
Ensure compliance with all environmental regulations and create an environment which fosters environmental best practices.
Assist in the hiring and training of personnel for the facility.
Prepare the monthly plant mass balance, analyze results, and drive improvement based upon results obtained.
Ensuring compliance with all OSHA regulations and create a work environment which fosters safety and the promotion of safe working practices. Improve the EHSQ program drawing on the best practices of the parent organization.
Uphold all HACCP, ISO 9001/14001, and RC14001 policies.
Provide leadership, guidance and technical expertise to fellow engineering team members.
Minimum of B.S. or equivalent degree in Chemical Engineering.
Minimum of 3 years (for MS) or 5 years (for BS) experience in production management or process engineering of industrial chemical processes.
Proven ability to understand and manage complex fermentation, drying, materials handling, and/or chemical processes.
Proven track record of positive behavior aspects in the areas of safety, environment and quality. Knowledge of safety and environmental regulatory requirements for products and operations.
Knowledge and experience using engineering tools to increase plant availability and reliability as well as for efficiency optimization.
Knowledge of QA programs and ability to implement into production management.
Ability to support and manage capital projects.
Proven ability to troubleshoot and/or improve processes and sustain high performance.
Strong Verbal and Written Communication Skills.
Excellent Problem Solving Skills.
Ability to work with self-directed work teams.
Ability to supervise and develop others.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
