Job Summary
Under the direction of the Director of Nursing or designee the incumbent will provide care skilled rehabilitation and long-term care residents. Duties include, but are not limited to administering medications/treatments; transcribing/noting and carrying out physician orders; writing and updating care plans; coordinating resident care with members of the interdisciplinary team; completing assessment within scope of practice; and working with residents and their families.
Education/Training/Work Experience Requirements
Must have a current nursing license (RN or LPN) from Nebraska or compact state of residence recognized by the Nebraska Board of Nursing at the time of hire and maintain the license in good standing throughout employment.
Basic life support/cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR/BLS) certification required at the time of hire and must maintain certification throughout employment.
Experience with electronic medical record preferred
Experience in skilled rehabilitation or long-term care preferred
Physical Demands and Typical Working Conditions
Work is performed in a health care facility. Noise level is generally moderate, but may at times be severe. Work hours may vary based on shift assignment. Incumbents will work the equivalent of every other weekend and every other holiday. Overtime hours may be required at times.
Incumbents may be exposed to blood/body fluids, infectious/communicable diseases and/or chemicals used in the health care environment (e.g. cleaning/laundering chemicals).
Work may be stressful with dealing with multiple demands, time constraints or individuals who may be demanding or distraught.
Must have the ability to lift/carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds as well as a push/pull force of 50 pounds.
Visual and hearing abilities correctable to normal ranges. Hand/eye coordination and Manual dexterity needed to operate equipment.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
